It is interesting and I think some folks are afraid to use it because they believe Borax is sooo toxic. It's one of those "disinformation" things...

The use of Borax has been instrumental to me, but that's my cup of tea... It may not work as well for everyone.

Borax isn't an extremely toxic man-made chemical, but it's a naturally occurring substance with many uses. It's cheap and relatively environmentally friendly when handled properly.
It's used in all sorts of products - even makeup and previously some foods!

I can say inhaling it can be quite irritating, so I do try to be careful when adding it to the laundry.

As for ingestion, only a pinch in a large glass of water several times a week.

MSDS(Material Data Safety Sheet) showed it to be about as toxic as salt and ~LESS~ toxic than Ibuprophen!
