Hi. I had my mirena inserted 6/13 and had my first seizure 10/14. Since then, I have had to quit my job, driving, activities, etc. I have found this recently by accident while searching for answers. Hi there, I started a mostly water fast at midnight last night. Epilepsy can be helped by correct, nose only, breathing day AND night. Buteyko breathing will teach that process. A sleep apnea machine will also do a similar thing at least at night. I am so glad I found this, I had my first seizure in Aug 2013 came to with paramedics surrounding my bed, it happened around 5am, went to the hospital took all the tests and nothing is medically wrong with me, even had a sleep study. I wish I found this page. Now, I am epileptic but very mildly so. I don’t take seizure medication because if I get enough rest, avoid alcohol, avoid excessive stress, I am fine. Or I was until this IUD when they returned-really scary. The good news is I’ve had mine taken out, and my adrenals have returned to normal.
