You could also try Parascope (part of the Leeds Teaching Hospital) 0113 392 4657 for a comprehensive stool test (they provide kits of 3 with preservative). Cost £95. As I said, I try to remain sceptical about the whole thing but the pattern certainly seems to be there that candida may be a problem. I just want to sort it out once and for all. I recently had the saliva test for candida antibodies IgG and IgA, and also secretory SIgA done by IWDL in New Malden in Surrey. This test was recommended by The Brain Bio Centre. The IgG and IgA came back as elevated and teh SigA as normal. The form says that former indicates that the infection is happening currently and the latter that it has been going on for some time. You can have a a saliva test done which can be sent to the labs (your doc or any naturopath should be able to do it). They can test for antibodies and it’s meant to be as close to foolproof as you can get in telling you whether you are suffering from candida or not. This is curious. I am a regular on the candida forum, but after much research, studying, and experimentation, I concluded that it is allergies NOT candida that is at the crux of my problems. Albiet, the allergies CAUSE candida but it is an im-balance of the candida yeast building up. Once the yeast builds up, then the two problems create an even larger one. I use oregano essential oil diluted in a carrier oil, such as castor oil (believe it or not!) to heal and keep the bacteria at bay. yes it is infectious. I have studied this due to my baby son having severe eczema and is always infected. There are 2 types one being the strep bacteria. Anyway this is naturally found on the surface of the skin and is harmless. but if the skin is broken it can get inside and lead to infection. it is often found in the nose so getting a nose spray from your doctor may help. also antibiotic creams and antibiotics may help. Can Impetigo spread from person to person. My son has acne and has been in the company of someone who has Impetigo. He has now broken out with pustules that have burst and have crusted over, even his acne is doing the same.
