Re: What worked for me

I am going to go back to cleanses too. However, I do have Hashimoto's Thryoditis and mild adrenal hyperplasia (and this is an enzymatic problem that causes my adrenals to make too many androgens, which convert to too much testosterone, and that causes the acne). Cleanses do help me, but all the cleanses in the world can't fix my enzyme imbalance, which is gentic. It is estimated 1% of the population have this problem, so people with hormonal Acne should have their adrenals checked.

Also, I have Hashi's as I said, and I have to be careful with flax seed and anything else goitrogenic as they are natural anti-thyroids (the reason I can't eat raw broccoli even though I love the stuff, I can have a very small amount here and there, but that is all). Any cruciferous vegetable, and unfermented soy are anti-thyroids, and will make a hypothryoid person worse.

So, my point is, cleansing can't fix everything, I wish that was true, but it is not. I have heard of cases of Hashi's being reversed, and I will be thrilled if that happens in my case (it depends how much damage the thyroid has endured and if you take the right steps to get healthy), but the only thing that could fix my enzymatic problem is gene therapy, which is not available yet.

Take care.
