Re: narcissim in my life, 13738
13738, you have suffered many difficulties, I feel for you. the best gift you could give yourself is counseling, find a therapist you really like, one that is affordable, within your budget, interview the therapist and ask them if they can help you cope with your losses and with your sister. then stick with therapy, it will be the best investment you ever make, better then any new car or vacation.
along with a counselor that you like you would give yourself another gift if you looked into support groups, there are many support groups that meet all over the usa and some are online.
to understand and overcome the effects of an alcoholic parent look into ACOA, Adult Children of Alcoholics, 12 step support group, they are all over usa and can be accessed by doing an online search of ACOA in your state or area for contact and meeting times.
http://www.groww.com
is a good online support group for loss and bereavement, thier main chat room is open 24/7 online. look at site for main room 24/7 chat grief recovery.
I like to work with christian healing and I personally find many spiritual solutions at
http://www.spirituality.com
and thru CS.
You are ahead of many 13783, you are not in denial and you are insightful and aware, and that self knowledge will help you overcome any difficulties you experienced.
Knowledge is power and as you seek solutions and support your situation will improve and you will learn tools to help you and those skills and tools and understanding will be a great benefit to you for the rest of your life.
Peace of mind is a pearl of great price, so protect your pearl. there is good counseling, help, info and support groups out there that are really valuable and helpful and you are gifting your self to learn from others who have been thru similar difficulties and overcome.
Best Wishes
