I think that the main non-monetary reward that advisors get on this forum is 'voice'. To be heard and understood is a very powerful motivator. I think that many people take a certain tone because they don't feel listened to.

Also, it really seems hard to be totally 'supportive' within the Support Forums when issues come up like this. I think that ferreting out the truth with a group effort is support, so the type of forum this belongs in certainly in itself, is a matter of debate. Tweet
