Nice to hear from you again, Hanna. Yes hormones and their interaction really caught my attention. In layman term; progesterone enhance the growth of new cells ie osteoblasts. Making new cells.
While estrogen keeps the osteoclasts living longer; so if taking this for osteoporosis it keeps it at bay yes; but at the same time old cells are vulnerable when it comes to cancer. One would like new cells not the old ones shedding.
The same principle goes for all our cells, I believe.. The estrogen dominance I had heard about gave a new meaning.
So; two blessings in disguise I have been given in this life; hypo thyroid which led me to iodine. And a hell of menopause led me to bio identical hormones. Back to the fact that Iodine can't fix it all:)
