Absolutely, Loquat1. The New Testament certainly tells us to pray and intercede for our leaders and our nation. If God had no intention of answering those prayers He would have made sure that it would not have been in the New Testament telling us pray for our leaders. Many Christians have been praying and fasting for our leaders and nation while many others have been prophesying doom and gloom giving us no hope.

@Vektek, I have been wondering why you are not telling me where you think I have been lying about you. Instead you just say I have misrepresented you. I am actually calling you as I see you explain yourself and your beliefs in your posts. Now I do realize that I may be misunderstanding you. I certainly am not intentionally lying about you. You have done this before to me in the Christian forum leaving me with no clue as to where I am seeing you wrong. I can see where I may have been exaggerating when I asked you if you even believed in prayer at all. I should have said, "Do you even believe in praying for our leaders and nation?" Or, maybe I should have said, "Do you believe that God would answer a prayer regarding our leaders and our nation?"

@Loquat1, Remember 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." If Donald Trump truly became saved as the ministers who have been surrounding him and ministering to him claim, then yes, I expect Trump to forget his past and old sinful ways while he moves on to become that new creature in Christ. I believe this happened and I believe Trump is now in the process of renewing his mind. I know all this is hard for some Christians to except because they have been so brainwashed into thinking that we are in the last of the last and down to the last second of what the Bible calls the last days. Yes, I agree that we are in the last days, but God's timing is not our timing. I even believe that we are in the last of the last days, but again, God's timing is not our timing. A thousand years is as a day to God and a day as a thousand years. The Bible tells us that we have been in the last days since the book of Acts and yet we are still here.
