Re: The Kennedy assassination is still sending a chill wind thru the heart of American society and politics.
Apologies for the jargon, but I thought anyone who engages in any kinda end-time discussion/debate would be familiar with the term The Great Tribulation. There I go again with my assumptions.
Yeah, I get the idea of the 1,000 yr reign and its popularity in the US. It's a pipedream that has no Scriptural foundation beyond a misinterpretation of Rev. 20:1-6. I used to believe it as a young Christian, but had to abandon it eventually when I realized that it conflicts with virtually every fundamental Christian doctrine.
However, I don't consider it my duty to disabuse you of one of your core cherished beliefs. If you are happy about such a doctrine and can satisfy yourself that it is consistent with the rest of your faith, then by all means knock yourself out.
When it comes to such a controversial subject that has often divided Christians into opposing camps, we must ultimately make our own journeys in the search for truth, and hope that we are not too far off the mark.
