Sorry, I'm use to debating people who know my beliefs better. I should have mentioned that I did not research Mr. Montaigne and his beliefs. I was pointing to the Pew Research he was using of the differences between the US and Europe. Unless you see something in this man, that he has used the research incorrectly due to his wrong date setting beliefs, I don't see anything to debate. For I agree with you that we should not set dates.
However I do follow the biblical idea of watching for the signs as in the lesson of the fig tree. Just as the story of the 10 virgins, 5 were prepared and the other half not, I do believe we must be watching and waiting.
I'm afraid I don't have time right now to read the books you have pointed me to...perhaps one day I will. I was just intrigued that there was a difference that's all, and took note of it. I have not even scratched the surface as of yet. That website was just the first thing I came upon to read.
And of course unless you see anything that looks wrong with the Pew Research itself, I really don't see anything to debate about as well. Like you said, after I read some of those books you suggested maybe I would be more prepared to understand your thoughts better. Thanks for your input on the subject. I'm glad we agree about not setting times. :)
