Re: The Kennedy assassination is still sending a chill wind thru the heart of American society and politics.
Frankly my dear, no. I regard him as simply the lesser of two evils. Trump's greatest asset is that he isn't Hil-liar-y. Then again, neither are some 300 million other Americans. I look at it this way. If I 'buy' a politician, who is the most corrupt - me or the politician? I would argue the politician, because they are elected to represent all the ppl, not just corrupt corporations, etc.
Now Trump was one of those buyers of political influence, and I can't really blame him very much for that. Business is what business does. He only did what he had to do to protect his business interests. The subversion of the political process only comes into play when a politician accepts the 'donation'. The only reason that you now have Trump as PEOTUS is that your utterly corrupt system gravely miscalculated when it threw him up as your only alternative to Hil-liar-y. Don't forget, he was their choice for challenger, not yours, coz they figured his defeat was a foregone conclusion. They were banking on it, coz as far as they were concerned, he was unelectable.
The only silver lining to that cloud is that they got it spectacularly wrong. The ppl have started to wake up to what's really going on, and right now the elites should be quaking in their boots but for the fact that they still hold the weapon of last resort - political assassination. It happened to the Kennedys. It almost happened to Raegan. It (or their overthrow) happened to countless foreign leaders who dared to challenge US/elite hegemony (Mossadegh, Trujillo, Arbenz, Allende, Rahman, Diem, Lumumba, Velasco, Bosch, Goulart, Sukarno, Papandreou, Makarios, Sihanouk, Torres, Moro, Aristide, Aquino, Hussein, Gadaffi, ad nauseum and ad infinitum). They won't hesitate to take out Trump if he gets in their way. That is your 'democracy' for you. It's illusory, and has been for some time now - at least since JFK at any rate. LBJ and most of his successors have simply headed up the biggest crime syndicate on the face of the planet, otherwise known as corporate America, Wall Street, and the Industrial-Military Complex.
But compared to Hil-liar-y, sure, no question - he's an angel. Unfortunately, he has largely surrounded himself with insiders, so that swamp ain't gonna get drained anytime soon.
Sorry if that reply dissapoints you.
Merry Christmas sis.
