Basically, it's a lighter texture of brown I mistakenly confused saying pink, they are probably pinker than they should be but generally the lip pattern is dark brown on the outside mainly on the top lip, and lighter brown texture the further you go in.

Only the very edge of the bottom lip, and only really at the sides, is a darker brown.

This should clarify it. Compare a and b, c and d, e and f, g and h. The line shows the division between EC and non-EC parts.

But yeah you're right, my lips are brown not pink. It's been that long that I have no clue ha! However it's not a single shade. Funny how nature works.
