Re: Did Jesus go to hell between His death and resurrection?
I'll be honest and say that I am also guilty of just skimming this particular post. I read the rest of them, but with this one I was so irritated that the topic was being changed to this, that I didn't even half read it. I just now decided to really read it, and I have to say, this here is a total misrepresentation of my beliefs:
"How can a person then be responsible for their own action of not putting their faith in Jesus, if they believe the way you do? A person is not sentenced to death for something someone else did. (Only Jesus did that on the cross) Jesus, the Royal Judge would be the guilty party if He created you to fail.
God did not make you do bad...but God gave man the choice to do what is right or what is wrong. You can't be responsible and found guilty if God made you sin and be hell bound in the first place."
I guess it will always come down to this: Because I don't believe as you do, I will never be really heard as to what I really believe and you will always believe whatever you think in your head is what I believe.
I guess that's just how it works, but man, it is so irritating!
I have never ever said God makes people sin or do bad, or creates them to fail, or intervenes to make sure they are hell-bound. No, we do all that stuff on our own. We willingly sin without God intervening to make us sin. God will never tempt anyone to evil.
James 1:13
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
