Re: Did Jesus go to hell between His death and resurrection?

Hi Refreshed,
I am hoping this post comes as a word of encouragement to you. I have only skimmed the posts, but this is what I see. You are being accused of diverting from the issue and attacking Vektek's other beliefs. I for one do not see you doing this. I think many other readers are not seeing it either so be of good cheer. They are just using these arguments to put you down. It is a grasping at straws to support their false belief because they cannot rebuttal the truth of what you said in your post. They cannot address what you said so they accuse you of diverting and attacking other beliefs instead. My guess is Ed agrees with Vektek's false belief, although I don't think he has come out and said it. Why else would he be defending this with such a weak argument.

When you said, "How can a person then be responsible for their own action of not putting their faith in Jesus, if they believe the way you do? A person is not sentenced to death for something someone else did. (Only Jesus did that on the cross) Jesus, the Royal Judge would be the guilty party if He created you to fail. You even related one of His attributes as being a consuming fire as for burning people in hell.

God did not make you do bad...but God gave man the choice to do what is right or what is wrong. You can't be responsible and found guilty if God made you sin and be hell bound in the first place."

I really felt that the Holy Spirit gave that wisdom to you. It is not an attack on Calvinism. It is good reasoning. Many Calvinists do not believe as Vektek does on this issue so how could you be attacking Calvinists? You came up with a good argument that they could not overcome except by diverting from this excellent reasoning to try to make you look bad. They are diverting from this truth that you pointed out. Like I said, I think it was the Holy Spirit that gave you this nugget to help point people to the truth. Although most people would rather believe the way these two do, I know many of us just want the truth. It's never good to believe a lie.

Don't let these false accusations discourage you. The enemy would love that. Keep speaking the truth for Jesus. His Spirit is leading you into all truth as you seek Him.

If anyone responds to this post I don't plan to continue in the discussion. I doubt I will reply. This is all I wanted to say.
