Re: Did Jesus go to hell between His death and resurrection?

"First of all, you keep using the word "torture" as if God Himself is doing torture to unsaved people in hell. The word was "tormented". Which is not the same thing. And it seems to be due to being in hell that was tormenting (separation from God) not that God was torturing someone."

If hell is how you say it is, God puts people in this place of everlasting torment.

I looked up the definition of torment:

tor·ment
noun
ˈtôrment/
1.
severe physical or mental suffering.
synonyms: agony, suffering, torture, pain, anguish, misery, distress, affliction, trauma, wretchedness;
verb
tôrˈment/
1.
cause to experience severe mental or physical suffering.
synonyms:torture, afflict, rack, harrow, plague, haunt, bedevil, distress, agonize

And don't forget, everlasting means it never ever ever ever ever ever ever ends, it's infinitely forever. Has anyone in their right mind thought about what forever means when it comes to everlasting hell, whether you think it's torment or torture which I'm not seeing much of a difference of?

Joni Tada Eareckson says hell is worse than anything we've ever experienced or seen here on earth and that it's unimaginable how horrible it will be, and there will be no end ever to this unimaginable agony. And she's been paralyzed for over 40 something years with a lot of pain and has gone to many places in her travels where people have no arms or legs from disease and live in tents and filth, but granted she said these people were happy and content (because they had God's strength to keep them going) but people aren't going to have God's strength in hell!
