I appreciate that you have made an attempt to help others.

However to blanket all EC as the same thing is ignorant to me.

My personal theory is that, the reason for what looks like a scab, is because the skin trying to come back, yet after years of abuse, the course of its shape and healing has been dramatically changed.

Similar to how water corrodes rock and changes its shape. That is what has happened with the lips. Therefore it looks the way it does because of the constant trauma.

I take it to be offensive that such a simple method is a "universal cure", don't you think I have tried that? I agree that the leave alone method in all its forms seems to be the only cure. If it takes months to years to undo all the damage, than so be it. For some, a miracle happens, or they identify a food allergy , yeast overgrowth etc... but for the rest of us who have no allergies or sensitivities or bad skin, or infections of the sort, than it is a different story and the lips simply are not going to be healed over night.
