Awesome man. Rip em off and give it a go. Let us know how it goes.
As for the six days thing: yeah, I think I jumped the gun. But new skin DID grow within 3 days. After the fifth day, the swelling was gone and my lips were back to normal. The scabs themselves stopped forming from the very first day--I kept my lips soaked every second of every day in aquaphor, so they just couldn't form. It just seems that there is yet another layer of skin that's trying to grow on top of the new skin--we'll see what happens.

Anyway, I believe, BELIEVE, that this process shouldn't take more than 2 weeks, TOTAL. Lips are supposed to heal relatively fast, and even the deepest scrapes on any other part of the body heal within that time. I'll keep everyone posted.
