The government is not perfect, i know there is some corruption, but there are also many liars, deceivers, distorters, who try to convince ignorant desperate people to buy their miracle devices/supplements. And of course many have no proof that their alternative solution works or not, they are just doing that for the money. So some regulation is necessary.
