Yes, she has died, quite possibly assassinated IMHO. Not provable though. I used to be a chemist years ago and I am well aware that MM can be chemically induced with certain aromatic compounds.

It is possible that she was exposed to these in her work but it is also possible that she was intentionally exposed as this would be the perfect weapon and extremely difficult to prove.

The only symptoms that might have been experienced is a rain drop on the shoulder or neck and later a slightly funny taste in the mouth. Imminent death is only a few months away.

Sadly, her methods and tools are almost completely ineffective against the chemically induced form of that cancer.

OMG, she died of some form of cancer and they consider that as proof that her therapies did not work.
