Re: Home remedy for barth cysts/abscesses

I had one of these recurring for over a year, it would come up, stay for a week or so then go down again but remain as a little painless lump until next time.
Recently it recurred and was painful, large enough to sting as I walked, painful to sit down. I thought I was going to have to get it lanced!

However, I spent a few days applying hot water bottles to it, and before bed using a tiny amount of ibuprofen gel to help with the inflammation. After a few days it burst open on its own, and the vital part I did here was (it was painful, I wont lie) I used cotton swabs to fully drain the cyst and then flushed it with antiseptic solution and kept doing this for a few days to heal it from the inside out. I have since not had any issues with it for 6 months now.

I also use a deep cleansing face wash for sensitive skin to clean the area on and around where the cyst occurred to prevent the glands / pores getting blocked and it seems to be working.
