Re: Why did I have a seizure when trying to take Paragone
To be honest, I am terrified. I never thought eating fresh produce would lead to me being infected with
parasites and worse, having to live with them because they won't show up in a test.
I have been considering a full body MRI to rule out all cysts in all places, but without insurance that will be challenging. I am seeing my doctor again soon and he will hopefully refer me to a neurologist. If not a full body MRI, then I will at least try for a CT or MRI.
I wonder the same thing about the stool test. If a patient is exhibiting so many obvious symptoms of parasites, why not treat them just to be on the safe side? I guess they would rather people end up having to pay large amounts for surgeries to correct all the damage instead.
I am seeing a gastroenterologist in a month, but with the way I've been feeling recently, I'm most likely going to see my regular physician next week. I do have a photo of what looks like a
Tapeworm scolex and a long string of worms attached, so hopefully that will help me out getting him to believe me. If I do have cysts that caused the seizure taking Paragone though, I probably couldn't take any anti parasitic medication anyway unsupervised.
I read on the CDC website where they openly admit that
parasites are extremely hard to detect in stool, and it can take up to 12 samples to get an accurate one.
I'm afraid to take any anti parasitic herbs or meds until I get an MRI or CT done. I am trying to treat it through diet in the meantime.
