Re: Why did I have a seizure when trying to take Paragone
I don't have health insurance, which can be good and bad. It gives me more freedom, but also less freedom given the fact that a portion of expenses are not covered by insurance.
What's your opinion on Ivermectin? The new doctor I saw after I "dumped" the old one prescribed it to me before I had seizures on paragone and it did absolutely nothing. This was before I had the negative stool test though.
Even if a person did want to see specialists and go their own way with treatment, don't you have to have a positive stool test in order to schedule an appointment with an infectious disease specialist and be referred?
I've heard all the good tropical medicine doctors are out of the U.S., so that would not be an option for me or most people for that matter. I feel like doctors "prefer" to treat people with more general health concerns like: the cold, the flu, stomach virus, diabetes, heart disease, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalances, etc. Then when someone walks in saying they have worms with a negative stool test, the doctor doesn't know what to do. My new doctor is very open minded fortunately.
Isn't it ironic that countries who are underprivileged compared to the U.S. have better medical care concerning parasites? Other than anti parasitic prescription drugs, there's no scans that detect them in the U.S., unless a large infestation is found in the organs during surgery for something else and they find worms.
