Yeah, that's a horrible situation fo be in... but as I'm finding out, having insurance doesn't guarantee a doctor will order special tests or medicate you either :(
I was VERY surprised when I dropped off 5 albenza prescriptions (around $500 each) and had 4 of them called in 3 weeks later that my insurance paid for them without wanting a prior authorization. I usually have a hard time or some issue trying to fill certain meds. That's the only reason why I haven't ordered any albenza online yet.. I want to see if I can get it prescribed tomorrow. If not, I don't know what I'm going to do while waiting 2 weeks + for it to come in the mail. I guess I have to keep buying dog dewormer... like I'm some kind of f***ing animal. In 5 days of low dose fenben (dose is for 80lbs and i weight around 108) I feel like I've made huge progress. The constant strong feeling of something moving around has drastically decreased. But I'm worried because I'm not feeling massive die off like I have prior and from what i can tell, I'm not expelling dead worms in masses like i expected. Maybe I need more time? I don't want to stop the meds because if I start feeling the dreaded crazy wiggling like I did before, i will be devastated.
