Just like Jesus was nobel to sacrifice Himself on the cross and become sin for me so I could live, I think when a person sacrifices themselves for another it is nobel as well.

Not that Jesus wanted to be sin, but He knew it was the only Way to save mankind from doom and destruction. Plus He wanted to do the Father's will.

You will be much happier in England my friend, for in Texas we raise our children differently and we use our guns almost daily for hunting, ranching, home security and sport. Many women who are widowed and live alone sleep with a pistol under their pillow. Sorry if that seems odd to you, but it's our culture here in the south. We don't think anything about it, and it's been this way for hundreds of years. Matter of fact my church has an old picture of one of it's first pioneer pastors and he had a pistol in front of him as he was preaching. Lol, I can just see your eyes getting big in utter shock. No it was not to keep the congregation in line as you may think. Having church outdoors in the wilderness had it's own issues to tend to.
