Yes, IF the hydrogen form causes you a problem, by all means take it in the sodium form. You can make this yourself [if you like] by simply mixing ascorbic acid with sodium bicarbonate, i.e. baking soda (not baking powder), at a ratio of anywhere from one part soda to one part ascorbic acid [weak] to two parts bicarbonate to three parts acid [stronger]. From my view, the more of the acid form you can handle the better. But more importantly is to get as much of this potent antioxidant in you as you are able to ingest.
