I am not discounting what you say at all because you could be right about the 'not enough calorie thing' as I often did skip meals and maybe not eat enough.
Having said that though...the other problem i ran into with eating loads of carbs is that I became carb intolerant and I had to learn to balance out the amount of carbs I ate with the right amount of protein and fats. I was seriously heading towards insuline resistance which would have put me into Type II Diabetes as it runs in my family so I already have a predisposition for it.
I know exsessive carbs don't agree with me because when i eat that way I get terrible adrenaline rushes as my body is trying to compensate something I cannot handle.
I really do wish i could be vegetarian as I do not like the idea of eating flesh...I really don't. Maybe when my adrenals are better I will cut down on the protein more.
