From what I can see of this "study" is that they have reviewed a small amount of data, and have cherry picked data, to try and make a case for causation. This is not good science. I have also found "Natural News" to be a very sensationalist information outlet, and very poorly researched. More spin than substance.
There are so many variables that relate to the rate of infant mortality, and a number of variables where the link is much stronger than that of amount of vaccinations, that further studies of the type that you posted, would be a waste of time and funding.
Providing mothers with good post and anti natal care, including access to good nutrition, clean birthing facilities, education on how to care for an infant, and enough money to be able to provide for themselves and their infant, would go a long way to preventing high infant mortality rate, then endless studies on weak correlations.
