Re: Animal Protein Linked to Increased Diabetes Risk

First where's the math?

Second, todays non-meat eater consumes all sorts of supplements, presumably because just eating fruits, veggies and grains isn't enough. They have to come from consuming some other resource.

Third, the worlds largest food resource which consumes most of the worlds mass isn't growing any of the above anytime soon. Basically another meat source plus seaweed.

On the one hand you chastise the meat eaters for misuse of the land (BTW we eat all of the above too unless you're a strict paleo) but then OTOH you ignore the oceans which are a huge food resource for the world. So are you going to chastise the creator now for making so much ocean?

India would come close to your ideal(very veggie oriented), yet how many people starve and are oppressed in that nation?

You cannot ignore the resource cost of all vegetarian sources not only the total amount of land mass required but the fuels and all the other expenses and resources. You can't just proclaim it's so, it's just fuzzy math and wishful thinking.

Since the largest food resource is the ocean which is meat, just how do plan to replace it? Here's a bowl of rice?

Most high living veggies would have a very rude awakening if everyone were somehow forced to stop all meat consumption and presumably all other animal sources.

It's just a fairy tale being perpetuated for greed by all the "health" guru's. Greed is greed don't try and paint it differently becuase you think it's nobler.
