I was aware of that information about Bragg, but as you say he did leave a health-benefit legacy for many.

The official version of his death by the Bragg Crusaders is that he died from medication, administered in the vain attempt to resuscitate him at the scene of his surfing accident. He hit his head on a submerged rock apparently.

Whatever the true story surrounding his life, his book: "The Miracle of Fasting" was an inspiration for me during my recovery from Leukemia.
