InnerCalm
I presume you mean what kind of diet I engage in these days?

Well, it is based on Natural Hygiene principles.........
Fruit, vegetables, nuts, legumes, pulses, and wholegrains (wholegrain bread is delicious) with the addition of some Wild-caught Pacific Salmon and Tuna and some organic chicken.

Approx' 80% raw and 20% steam cooked.

My emotions were hung up with my lowered nutritional state and have been cured since that time long ago via nutrition. (Former serious depressive).

Q. "Do I think that fasting in today's environment with so many toxins must be done more carefully and perhaps a bit more slowly"?

A. No not really. If the body can absorb/ingest and accommodate toxins (which it does) it can also readily expel them: it just takes longer, unless you are relatively free from toxemia and remain that way via periodic fasting and diet, AND making sure that the bodys energy is not lowered sufficiently producing enervation and therefore a toxemic condition.

Q. "What would you think about the use of clay baths and or Far Infrared Sauna to aid in helping with safe toxin removal"?

A. Clay baths are okay if you like the mess and the inconvenience.
As for Infrared saunas: they are fine and aid in detox. They are also non-enervating as opposed to traditional saunas where the excessive heat is decidedly enervating.
