Re: Animal Protein Linked to Increased Diabetes Risk

goodsamaritan55,

Raw omnivore doesn't really appeal to me I'm afraid; I mean eating raw organs and other raw meat is just not that appealing, but the rest of the diet seems ok.

Whatever ones opinion on diet may be this is a personal choice and one based on evidence that it is beneficial to health and longevity.

I am sure Raw Omnivore is highly beneficial to health for those wishing to pursue it, but I am of the plant-based variety, and which has been demonstrated to reverse disease and achieve full wellness..........

.........in listing but a few.

There is also the moral/ethical issue to consider in eating a diet that is based on raw/cooked meats and meat-fats................

The number of people worldwide who will die as a result of malnutrition this year: 20 million.
The number of people who could be adequately fed using land freed if Americans reduced their intake of meat by 10%: 100 million.

I am not prepared to enter into debate.

I respect all of your opinions on other types of diets including raw omnivore, but I have personally achieved wellness via other means and not one based on meat-eating, whether raw or cooked.

Best wishes.

Chrisb1.
