"Microflora greatly (I cannot overstate this) enhances absorption of all nutrition."
Here's the metaphor I use. Plants have their roots on the outside. With these roots, they extract nutrients (minerals) from the soil but the soil needs micro-organisms to help transport the nutrients into the plants. Very symbiotic.
Humans have their roots inside out (compared to plants). I guess you could say we are walking plants. We too extract nutrients from root like structures within our guts and the food we ingest is our nutrients/ But just like plants we too need micro-organisms to help with the assimilation of nutrients into our system.
They also function as an immune system (same with plants).
So then Grz are you a fern or a weed? ;-)
When I recommend people change their lifestyle and especially their nutritional approach I always emphasize soil health. It all starts there.
