Re: Please help with my brother's very complex and chronic gut illness.
>>The funny thing about
Iodine is that he started on 2 drops of
Lugols and after 10 days, the symptoms went crazy, constipation and anxiety and lethargy just sky rocketed! But im not sure if
Iodine can do this.
Does he still take iodine? did the symptoms improve
or did you stop because of the reaction?
Iodine doesn't do it but it can mobilize toxins like bromine that could but that's better than leaving them in the body where they continue to cause problems. If you regulate the dose, maybe use
SSKI and a little magnascent iodine, plus selenomethionine, vitamin C and magnesium in sufficient amounts this could well result in eventual improvement.
In his case obviously if the symptoms aren't bearable then you have to take care not to overdo it but persist with what is tolerable. Sometimes also more is better than a little
You could also try more and back of entirely if necessary then repeat and see if you get less of a reaction. This would be better than continually flooding the body with toxins it can't deal with
I eventually used up to 10ml of
Lugols but only in
Iodide form at higher dosage. I previously had ulcerative colitis.
I'm not suggesting you use that much, but it's not the
Iodine that's the problem, rather the lack of it in the past
Sure it does initially cause symptoms with toxin release and I built up very slowly but it does also improve digestive function. Now I've used it for over a 15 months and I'm better than ever.
I agree with the suggestions about coconut oil, turmeric and beetroot . I use a lot of those too.
Triphala is also a good herbal formula for detox and bowel regulation, you can take enough powder to induce a good bowel movement, only problem is the taste of it
