Re: Dyshidrotic Eczema Problem

I have a 16 year old son suffering from this. It interestingly enough appeared after he and 5 other family members were treated for scabies in late June. When I took him back to our dermitologist, he prescribed a topical which immediately made my son's hands worse. He has been through 2 rounds of prednesone. He just finished his second round yesterday, and already, his hands are worsening and I'll be taking him back to our dermatologist again! I had done so much research about this that I asked if my son might be needing an antibiotic, his hands were so bad. I know I need to be proactive with this. I purchased white cotton gloves which my son wears at night with vitamin E and/or EMU oil. All other "so called" fragrance free and/or Eucerin type moisturizers immediately cause problems or sting upon application. School starts next week and he's not going to want to go to school, and understandibly so. Should I be focusing on possible causes? My dematologist won't even discuss causes at this point. He just seems genuinely suprised that the treatments prescribed so far have not been the answer. This is such a heartache to me as a mother, and I feel so helpless. This condition has reduced my son to tears. Any and all guidance/advice would be very welcomed.
