Re: Question about Excerising during a Fast
Your hypothetical person or people who are supposed to be dying any length of time following a dry fast are just fictional. If dehydration is a cause of death that is measurable and if there was even a hint of what you say we'd get the usual media hysteria we get periodically about people dying supposedly due to fasting. It just doesn't happen. I first started dry fasting in late 2003, I did many fasts 3 days and more and a couple of 5 day dry fasts. One was on a hot summers day and I was out working with a disabled client pushing her around in the heat. No doubt you'd say I was dehydrated and had done serious harm to myself. But I had water with me and when I felt the need I drank. After my shift I bought some fruit on the way home and broke my fast and all was well.
Okay, big deal. But here I am 4 and a half years later, and not only have I not suffered from any hidden serious major organ damage or whatever we're supposed to be scared of, I have gone through a series of dry fasts, many 5-6 days and one 7 day at the end of last year with only great benefit and never any problems. My body provides me with the water I need when I need it. There is nothing hidden and sinister going on inside my body when I dry fast. Quite the contrary, dry fasting is an awesome experience for me as a rule, my body thrives while I am doing it.
Your claims are empty because they cannot be substantiated whereas I can back up mine with my research and personal experience.
As far as the quote here goes, it does look a lot like it is from a professional source when it is not and whether deliberate or not it only makes our claims that you are scaremongering more valid.
Your experience and opinions are welcome just not your judgement on us, nor attacks on fasting itself because in the end this is a fasting support forum not a
Fasting Debate forum.
