Re: Question about Excerising during a Fast
sihaya23,
your post reminds me of the people who say that going without food, for even a short period of time, is tantamount to starvation: which we all should know it is not. There is a definite demarcation point of the return of hunger which divides the two, and which can take many weeks to arrive at.
In the same way, going without water doesn't necessarily mean that we become dehydrated with all the risks to health that this could entail; the body is approximately 70% water and is the second most important natural element after air, but the abstinence from water for up to 7 to 9 days is not harmful to the body IF the body does not demand water by thirst.
There is absolutely no danger from dehydration if the body does not demand water, in much the same way as the body will demand sleep and/or rest when tired, or exercise is absent by the natural tendency of the body to yawn and stretch.
The body is the most reliable guide here as to its wants and needs.
Dr Graham speaks in ignorance of the facts, as another MD recently quoted that the body could not survive without water for more than 3 to 4 days, and which the enlightened know to be a fallacy.
Do you personally know of anyone who has actually died of actual starvation and/or dehydration as a result of the abstinence from food or water?
I think not.
