“I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed!” ~William Shakespeare

Day 2 of Water fast (Started January 20, 2014)

I am armed with knowledge and passion to achieve what I put my heart into. That is one reason why at times, I am more of a winner when it comes to accomplishing goals or dreams and some people that I am around. D. is always talking about wanting to do this and do that, but I never see him follow though with his goals. At least I try to set up some type of action plan, so I can see where I am going with something. It is how I was able to go to college and finish it, as well as buy my own trailer.

I really need to get my bum in gear with it comes to working on my novels. I really need to buy a newer laptop, that way I can write stuff down and work on it regularly, away from my home. I still in front of a desk top computer at work, at times, I really don't want to sit at one when I get home. Having a laptop is just more convenient for me then a desk top. Maybe I should be working on those goals as well. I have plenty of goals. I want to finish several of my novels (but I would be happy with just one), I want to go gem hunting in Arkansas (which is one of my goals for the year), I want to travel by train to my youngest sister's wedding in Florida in May, (which I need to start saving my money for) I want to go camping with year, ( 2 for 1 goal if I go to Arkansas to gem hunt)and I would love to get my trailer organized and decluttered, as I don't have as much room as I would like.

The Things that I accomplished already today are:

January 21, 2014

√ Make my Bed
√ Fed my cats and loved on them (Mekong didn't want to get out of bed with me.)
√ Read a little
√ Write Morning pages (3 pages)
√ Take out my trash
√ Call my Dad
√ Go to the Historical Society meeting

The Things I want to accomplish before I go to bed:

WORK ON BUDGET: I am on target for this. I hope that I can keep up on this. I worked on hand writing some pages, to get read for February, as it is a short month, and I have to pay for my tags for my car as well.

WRITE IN JOURNAL 7 TIMES: I am on target on this as well. I wrote 3 pages in my journal.

FINISH A BOOK: I should be finished with one book by Wednesday sometime. I hope also to finish another book by Friday. The weather has been very cold ( it is suppose to get to -9 degrees tonight), so cuddling down in my blankets when I get home, as be preventing me from really doing much or being very motivated.

CROCHET 5 TIMES: No, I haven't been working on this. Maybe this is because my VCR needs to be cleaned again. I need a new DVD player (as the one I bought December 7th, stopped working right after Christmas) and I haven't been listening to TV at all, and I usually crocheted and knitted when the TV was playing. I guess it is a good thing, as I haven't watched any TV since last Thursday. (I know not crocheting because of no TV is no excuse, as I haven't worked on this goal at all since the beginning of January)

READ BIBLE 7 TIMES: No. I haven't worked on this goal at all either.

SAVE $20.00 IN SAVINGS: This goal has been put into my budget, so I should be fine with depositing $20.00 in my savings on Friday.

PLAN GARDEN: I have found only some of my seeds, but not all of them. I bought a lot of seeds last year, but didn't use them, so they should be good. I need to plan on how much dirt I will need. I wonder if I could just get some topsoil, which I have heard can be cheaper then buying the crappy, clay filled topsoil from the store.

START WATER FAST: I am on Day 2 of my water fast. I am feeling pretty good. Not too yucky yet, but I know I will be soon. When I took my shower in the morning, I gagged a little bit, as well as my sense of smell has really picked up. When I went to the Historical Society meeting, I knew they would have pizza there, as it started at 5:00 p.m. And G.M. Wanted to make sure that everyone had something to eat, since it was directly at 5:00 p.m. Of course, I didn't have any and I wasn't tempted at all to want any. I just have a bottle of water to sip on if I got too bored watching other people eat. Anyway, pizza isn't that great for you, so I want to stay away from something like that for a while. I am not saying that pizza is bad, but it isn't good for a person who has been eating poorly for months and possibly years. I didn't feel my stomach really grumbling until late Tuesday night when I was laying in bed. It started to hurt, and I knew it was because I was hungry and my body was trying to tell me something. GAH. I wasn't fun. I just drank a little bit of water and continued reading my book and cuddling with Mekong. It has been really cold out. It was suppose to be -9 tonight and so trying to stay warm was very hard. I used a heat pad to help me regulate my body heat as I was very chilly. I am sure that my body temperature will be go lower tomorrow as it will be Day 3. When I brushed my teeth, I noticed that my tongue was only a little bit white, but nothing majority yucky yet. I did notice that my mouth had an awful taste to it, like I could taste my filling in one of my teeth. I hate that when that happens. I hate to do this, but I had another BM in the morning. It wasn't much, but at least I can document when the last I went. I know it is gross, but it is all for better health, so it might be somewhat excusable. I guess I can talk about what I would like to see out of this 15 day water fast. I would love to see the weight melt off (at least 15 pounds. I know about 8 pounds of it is purely intestinal weight) and see myself at least 132 pounds when I am finished (not adding the 8 pounds in yet). I also hope to start another short water fast sometime in February. I thought maybe it would be little bit healthy to maybe do a 2 week fast (if possible) for the next 4 months (one in February, March, April and May). I don't know I will have to figure out if that is healthy enough to do. It isn't totally fast for a long period, but in short periods, while I can be exercising, and watching what I eat. I think it would be a good way to keep on the straight and narrow when it comes to healthier eating. I think it would be lovely to be 115 pounds again. And if I follow exercising, eating right and a bit of fasting, I should be able to accomplish that. I will have to see and do a little bit of research as I know other people do what is called Intermittent fasting where people set a date to fast a couple days a month. I am wondering if this would be a good “small” practice to do once I have lost my weight and got healthier. Of course, not 14 days a time, but like one week a month ( choice that because it takes at least 3 days for your body to switch gears from eating to fat burning. It would allow my body to get rid of anything it has been storing. I don't know. I think I just need to focus on getting to Day 3 at this point in time. But all the changes holds a lot of promise to me.

SKETCH OUT STEAM PUNK OUTFIT IDEA: I went to my Historical Society meeting and there was some issue that the Time Traveler's Ball might not happen because they were having issues with the venue. The person that was suppose to be in contact with us regarding the venue hasn't been communicating with us, and the Historical Society is getting a little edgy, because there is so much we can't do, because they aren't communicating. So a new meeting has been set for February 4th, and if the person doesn't come to the meeting and work things out with us, the Society is going to scrap the Time Traveler's Ball until next year. We took a vote, and most people voted for next year, even though all the flyers have been printed out. They are definitely going to scrap it if the February 4th meeting is a failure. I hope not. I really would love to do this. I probably will be taking photographs, like I did with the Dinner with the Presidents in November. D. H. and I will probably be manning the game stations (Chess and Backgammon games) as well as writing calligraphy (we we both know how to do that. I really enjoyed using a quill again back last September, 2013 during the Travel through Time Event.) So I hope that I am able to go forward with this goal. I will continue on with it until I find out what happens on February 4th. Still trying to stay positive.
