“I like it when somebody gets excited about something. It's nice.”
~ J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye

Day 3 of Pre-fast (3 or 4 days until water fast launch – January 19th or January 20th.)

I am excited because today is an awesome day for me. I get paid. I give myself $20.00 for my savings and I just found out that J. and the Cowboy want me to come up tonight! So I won't be doing any of my evening stuff, at least I don't think I will be. Maybe a little bit of reading or knitting, but no cleaning or picking up, etc. YES!! Time with D.!

I deposited my check, and transferred $20.00 dollars into my savings. I had to go all the way across town to the other PNC bank, because they had an accident at the mall yesterday (I forgot about) and they had flooding where a elderly person hit a fire hidrent, and caused all kinds of flooding in the mall, including the bank, in which there person was pulling out from. I didn't realize it until I got there, it wasn't open. So, across town I went to deposit my check. Anyhoo, I have 40.00 lovely greenbacks in my savings account now! I am so happy! It is a lovely thing when you can enjoy something like saving a little bit of money for a rainy day because you keep to your budget. :o)

I thought I would share with you what type of budget it follow in my 5 subject notebook. This is a break down of it as it is. It has to be check on at the beginning of the week (for balances and project budget for the end of the week when I receive my paycheck) and at the end of the week (for Budget break downs, total of expenses for the week, and ending balance) This is what this week's Budget looks like in my notebook. So you get an idea what I am actually doing when I say I am working on my budget. It usually means, I am logging in a receipt for the day, or totaling up expenses for the day. This really worked for me in 2011, but if you let it go for a couple weeks, it can really mess up the weekly style that it gives off. (That is one reason why I haven't picked up on it again, as I got behind, and it was hard to catch up, because too much time had passed) I can get a way with two weeks going by but anything more than that, it is almost impossible. It works for me. I can see weekly where my money is going and where it is going.

You can see why I am so excited about watching my money so closely that I can find myself saving more (as long as I don't spend a bunch of money while I am with Daniel. It is really easy spending money when I am with him. Probably because he has none, and I end up nickel and diming things while I am with him. Well, at least I can keep track of it better, then I have over the last year or so.

I am so looking forward to see Daniel tomorrow!

WEEKLY GOAL FOR JANUARY 12th -JANUARY 18th, 2014

WORK ON BUDGET: I am on target for this! I am so happy about keeping this up.

WRITE IN JOURNAL 7 TIMES: I didn't get to write my morning pages, as I was busy in the morning, but I plan on writing in my journal later on in the evening. If not, I will write double tomorrow.

FINISH A BOOK: I should finish my book either tonight or at the earliest, tomorrow. It will made finishing two books this week. I am way ahead on this one.

CROCHET 5 TIMES: Nope. I am just really not into this one right now.

READ BIBLE 7 TIMES: I have had some urges to open it, but not to the point, I actually really open it and read it. I wonder what my problem is.

SAVE $20.00 IN SAVINGS: YES! Accomplished! I now have $40.00 in my savings.

ROUGH OUT STEAMPUNK COSTUME IDEA: I want to say that this goal is finished as I have a rough idea what type of hat, I want, but type of skirting/bustle I want and vest. Now the next step is picking up the clothing at the Salvation Army, and altering it to the point it comes all together for me. The Deadline is May 3, 2014. That is when the Time Traveler's Ball is.

START WATER FAST: It look like I will start my water fast either on Sunday, January 19, 2014 or Monday, January 20, 2014. I am really looking forward to it.

Daniel got a hold of me early in the day and asked if I was coming up tonight. I told him I wasn't certain, as no one asked or told me I could. I got a hold of Jen and found out that the guy were going to be here in a couple hours (this was around 2:00 p.m.) Of course, this throws everything off for me, as I was not packed or ready for a Friday night drive. Well, good thing is I always get off early on Friday, so I could run home, get things done, and on the road. Well, the weather wasn't the greatest, and it was until around 4:25 p.m. When J. told that was canceling the weekend with D. and N., because she had a migraine headache and they still were not at her house yet. Of course, I just got home, when I got the news and wasn't the happiest, as I was really looking forward to seeing D. I thought maybe it was for the best, as the snow was coming down really good. So I spend the rest of the evening moping about, because my weekend was shot with D. He told me to wait, as J. might change her mind. Well, my town ended up getting 3 inches of snow and my evening was very lonely and slow.

I just ended up working on my Budget and balancing my checkbook for an hour (getting it ready for the next week, since everything is hand written out) since I wasn't going any where for the weekend. I have to say that I was really bummed out about it. Part of me was glad, as I would save a little bit of money, but bummed because I don't know when I will see D. next. I have a lot of bills coming out the next two weeks, and I might not see him until early February. I guess the only thing that would be good is that I will have lost some weight by then. I guess the good thing is that I am still 149 pounds and that hasn't changed. Maybe I did lose a pound of fat.

Sigh, I still will miss him.
