One reason I had this done is because by family practitioner first had it done and was the guinea pig. So I knew it was a good surgeon. He says he has run marathons after the operation and loves it. I think you should try going back on the antidepressants. I don’t find them to be all that effective for me personally, but everyone reacts differently to medication. Someone mentioned a while back that antidepressants are more or less just a false perception and I have to agree. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist next week and I’m going to try to score some Xanax. I think it will help with the anxiety/social phobia EC inevitably causes. It is possible that a diet high in sugar caused yeast overgrowth. It is also possible that yeast overgrowth caused my celiac disease. I think an infection- whether bacterial or fungal- makes the lips peel. And, these organisms enter cracked or raw skin. One often gets acid reflux from having too little stomach acid. Most people think the opposite. I also have acid reflux. But, I am not suggesting it has anything to do with EC...just trying to read my tongue. I never thought about whether I felt better at night.
