I know some crop circles are human made but I have actually witnessed(along with two other sober adults) during daylight hours a huge UFO saucer looking vehicle... within a mile... I have noticed also, that when going sleep, all types of sounds can appear to sound as music although a second ago it might have sounded like someone talking when you were awake, that same sound can turn into patterns of music while at sleep. I almost had a crop circle nearby once too, I just didn’t get to it somehow, its odd. But that is interesting about the dousing rods! Once when i was flying over saskatchewan about 4 years ago i was absolutely certain i saw a crop circle as i looked out the window of the plane.
