Well I would agree with the first part. Certainly the only devil there is is the one that is in each one of us. But each one of us is responsible for putting him there.

It is because we continually divide the world into two - good/bad; right/wrong. Wanting only to identify with one end of the spectrum. Each one of us is the world. Man is both good and bad, right and wrong, God and devil. 

Fighting with him, and one is only fighting with oneself. Rather than fighting with him, he really should be embraced. The devil is a friend - not the enemy. Otherwise, you will always remain divided, and never a whole being.
