I have a place where I can put any food, and it will ripen or rot at an accelerated rate versus that placed in a different locale in the immediate vicinity. It's pretty cool, to split the banannas up and put one half in each spot. I tend to avoid that area so as to not age myself, but stay younger in its opposite.
