We all have the holy spirit within us
"Reading your comments about being saved were a
bit disturbing. Saying that it's an illogical concept is a bit of a hypocritical
statement coming from someone who is quoting scripture to people here posting
comments to your post. Accepting Jesus Christ into your heart and allowing the
Holy Spirit to live and work inside of you is not illogical. It is the word of
GOD. Salvation is something that should be taken very seriously. Not something
that should be disregarded as an illogical concept or theological myth. I just
do not understand how you can quote the bible and yet say such things about
salvation. That is the biggest most important message that the Bible
sends..."
Hypocritical? No one on this planet is "saved." I'm not
"saved" and neither is anyone else. If you were
"saved" - you wouldn't be here.
Jesus never asked to be in anyone's heart. And everyone already has
their own holy spirit inside of them - their own eternal spirit. Read
Genesis which I've quoted many times. You and I and everyone else were
created in the image of an eternal god. Jesus said that, per a passage in
Psalms, he and everyone else is god's child, and we are. God is
spirit. We are spirit, and we have a body in which that spirit
resides. To find salvation you can follow the teachings of Jesus and seek
the kingdom of god that is within you.
Jesus said that you have to be born of the body and of the spirit - your own
spirit, not some demon that enters you and causes one to blabber unintelligible
gibberish and causes people to roll on the floor, foam at the mouth and pee
their pants. That isn't holiness. That is witchcraft.
Jesus said that you and I, and everyone else on the planet, are the light of
the world. He said to let it shine and not put it under a bushel. We
all have that bright spark of the divine within us. When you look in the
mirror you are looking at the image of god. When you look at anyone else
on the planet, you are looking at an image of god.
