I also am one who believes that hell is of our own making. We are in hell if we hate, fear, judge, have prejudice, hold grudges, etc. If you think about it, all of the things I just mentioned hurt OURSELVES way more than our "enemy". These things keep us caged. We will reach "heaven" when we follow Jesus. He promised us that. Many think to follow means to "believe in", and that is the end, that is all you have to do. But you are released from hell when you truly follow, meaning to do as he has done. If you walk the world with love in your heart, if you work on your prejudices by getting to know people and cultures (instead of searching for bible passages that will support your reasons for the hatred), if you keep your own plate clean instead of looking for garbage on your neighbor's plate, if you live and let live, you will be released from hell. I believe his freedom from hell is available to anyone who chooses to walk the higher road, regardless of their religion.
