Personally, these are what I use :
Medicinal Mushrooms for multi-purpose remedies (notice not many in CZ take these)
Ganoderma lucidum aka Reishi or Lingzhi + Vit.C
- I use it for mental acuity, balance of mind & calmness, mainly for studying, effects lasts up to 6 hours
- I've also recommended it to family & friends for other ailments, with very good results
My sis came down with sea
food allergy , itchy rashes appearing all over scalp, torso, thighs. She was bleeding on bedsheets from all the scratching for 2 weeks. Anti-histamine injections did not help one bit. The Reishi+Vit.C provided relief for the first few days, rashes were disappearing quickly. All symptoms subsided & did not return after 2 weeks treatment.
Another male friend, who was extremely overweight, with diabetes type-2 & Graves disease had chronic eczema on fingers, hands & feet. This is the guy who never uses any nail-clippers in his life & cut nails with his teeth (imagine the
parasite load!). Those coin-sized itchy lesions had bothered him for years, they looked really bad. Medicated creams are useless, most of the time. The Reishi+Vit.C treatments reduced these lesions & after 6 weeks, they disappeared totally. His skin looks better than mine now. However, the lesions re-appear when he stopped the treatments. This signifies other underlying problems are the root cause of the lesions, the lesions are merely the symptoms.
Note that the skin, as an organ, manages detox of the body. If the skin is afflicted with problems, it could signify your body is overwhelmed & not detoxing properly.
Reishi's mode of action is to kick-start the dormant macrophages of the immune system. Macrophages are the defenders & consumes foreign cells. Hence the good results of Reishi on allergies. Resihi also protects the liver & has many other health restoring benefits. Do a google!
Main ingredients of Reishi are the polysacharrides & triterpenes. Most medicinal mushrooms/fungi provides superior polysaccharides for boosting the immune system, so does Astragalus. Most well known mushrooms are Coriolus versicolor (PSP & PSK), Maitake (D-Fraction) & Lentinan (from Shiitake). These mushrooms have been used by cancer patients to boost immunity for decades in Japan, US etc.
Vit. C's (Ascorbic Acid) role is to breakdown the complex polysaccharides for proper absorbtion by the human body. These polysaccharides are poorly absorbed due to their heavy molecular weight. I use 2 grams of effervescent Vit.C in a glass of water & use it to take the Reishi.
Reishi also have a blood-thinning effect, so I'm not worried about the cholesterol. People on high blood pressure medication should take the necessary precautions.
I am finicky about the quality of my supplements. The cultivation, harvesting, preparation & extraction of the substance affect the efficacy, composition & quality of the product. After months of extensive sourcing, here are the best sources :
Look for the percentage of active ingredients : min. 3% triterpenes, 10% polysaccharides

The largest supplier of medicinal mushrooms in North America (organic too). Supplies everything from powder to highly purified polysaccharides for IV. Buy the consumer products first to sample & get the bulk powder (cheaper). I bought 2 kg of Reishi.
