Your parents are old stubborn people not willing to change. You need to move out on your own and let them contact you. I had a similar situation and I know that the husband/stepfather can be the true hurricane in the family relationship. All the counseling in the world is not going to help. Once you move out, start your own family and don't contact your parents as much, you will get along better with them. Tweet
