Don't worry about everyone liking you. People are VERY complicated creatures...& honestly, it doesn't matter what you do, there will always be those that you just can't "click" with...and that is FINE! You need to do what makes YOU happy, don't worry about making other people happy. That, also, is out of your control. "Happiness is a personal decision." Trite, but true. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "Don't be nice"...I'm saying, look after yourself, first. Noone else is going to do it for you... :)

& anyone that would possibly reject you as a person because of a difficult home life is not worth your consideration. Seriously! No loss there!

And...this will PROBABLY sound crazy to you, but you need to give thanks for your upbringing. It is pointless to wish for something else, and you have learned SO much, already. Those whose lives you may have envied are perhaps not as well equipped as you to go out into the world. The world is NOT a happy happy place(not all the time, anyway), there is MUCH suffering, and those that learn to deal with it early on are better prepared...

Do I think that everything happens for a reason? mmmm....no, not really, well sometimes I guess...

I DO think that everything that happens can be used to further our understanding of ourselves and of the world...

I KNOW how hard it is for you...I was you once, with all the idealism of youth. I'm older know, and I know that in people's lives there are many factors that prevent them from being the best expressions of themselves that they could be. Life has a way of wearing people down..they are put into situations of compromise. So try to be a little more forgiving of the elders in your life...I'm sure that they have done the best that they know..

& yeah, things WILL work out, they always do...

& now I must go off to la-la-land!
