After my four days on water only, I can definitely identify with what you're saying about food and emotions.
It's been like I have nowhere to hide myself when I can't eat. When there is a stressful situation, I can't just grab a cookie in a hope of getting "stronger":) for dealing with it. I have to do it on an empty stomach, which makes it somehow more intimidating.
Well, I could probably write much more about food and emotions as it is unbelievable what all food has become next to nutrition. But I must go to work...:(.
