This again is not water fasting. You would do much better to feed your body wholesome nutritious food while losing weight as Fuhrman points out in "Eat to Live". There you can eat all you want and lose 20+
pounds every 6 weeks. No one needs to lose any faster than that, and at the same time you are rebuilding your body. Syrup is sugar. Supplements and vitamins are synthetic portions of food isolated to be used as medicines.
The reason this board was created was because of the kind of advice and practices many of you are now giving. This is a
Water Fast board. Taking anything other than water during a fast is addressed on the juice and
Master-Cleanse boards. It was because of this very debate that this board was created for those who want to adhere to the pure water fast, based on
Science and not what I think, or what works for me. I have tried to be gracious and perhaps have given the impression that anything goes. No, it doesnt. Contact the board moderator of the Juice and
Master-Cleanse boards for the history. I was run off the
Master-Cleanse board for advocating water and that's why the juice and water boards were created.
The
Science is out there and you can do whatever you please, but you won't find the support you're seeking here.
Water Fasting is not about losing weight, it's about people with severe and chronic diseases getting well. Weight loss is a by product, and is usually recommended only after a nearly ideal weight has been reached via proper diet.
