Your advice is helpful to me but about your words "Why? Because you are HURTING the guy you care about by staying! You want to help him, then leave. Don't allow him to continue in this path with you. It just throughs him off balance and makes things worse for his addictions"

Could you explain to me how I'd be hurting him by even just being his friend? Is it because he needs to be taught a lessen - he needs to learn that the consequences of being a substance abuses means any female he gets involved with will leave him? Could you explain how it throws him off balance and makes things worse for his addictions?
